Interim results of SCIRT-project

SCIRT is a unique collaborative project between 18 industry and research organisations which aims to build up the technological, economic, and environmental feasibility of textile-to-textile recycling for post-consumer/discarded clothing. SCIRT will enable conditions and supporting measures needed to make the transition towards circularity. The 4 main objectives of the project are:

  • Deliver a closed loop recycling solution for discarded textiles
  • Stimulate and encourage conscious design as well as production practices
  • Create new business opportunities by boosting textile value chain activity
  • Raise awareness about the environmental and social impacts of buying clothes

As a key member of the project, CETI will be presenting the interim results reflecting 18 months of work.
